HOSPITAL ADMISSION
- Once your procedure has been scheduled, our team will provide you with the required hospital admission forms for either Monash House Private Hospital or Holmesglen Private Hospital.
- These forms must be completed prior to your admission.
FEES & BILLING
- You will receive a quote outlining the procedural fee payable to MSK Pain.
- Additional charges may apply for the anaesthetist and any excess associated with your private health insurance.
- It is your responsibility to check with your private health fund whether an excess applies, and the amount payable, to avoid unexpected costs.
IMPORTANT MEDICAL INFORMATION
- Please advise us as soon as possible if you are:
- – Taking blood thinners (may need to be stopped before your procedure)
- – Taking weight-loss medications such as Trulicity, Saxenda, Mounjaro, Ozempic, or Wegovy
- – Are Diabetic, or pregnant/breastfeeding
SEDATION & FASTING
- – Unsedated procedures: No fasting required.
- – Sedated procedures: Fast for 6 hours prior. You may take regular medications with a small sip of water unless instructed otherwise.
TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS
- For all sedated procedures, you must arrange for a family member or friend to collect you from the hospital.
- This is a strict hospital and anaesthetist protocol. Patients will not be discharged without an escort.
